'Homegrown' email virus check

If your computer is infected by a virus it may use your email client to spread itself to your email contacts.

Here is an excellent and very simple way to detect a virus trying to spread via email without using any additional software:

Create a new contact and type '!000' as the name and 'Virus@Worm.Alert' as the email address (or any other email address that will not really exist).

The !000 name will be first in your contact list as it starts with the exclamation mark.
If a virus tries to send emails to all of your contacts, it will send it to the first name on your contact list which is '!000'.
The email will bounce back because the email address does not exist and you'll be notified.

This will act as an alert system for email viruses, you can then scan your system for them.
